Recognized for his innovative departures from standard metalworking techniques and an experimental aesthetic that is at once modern and classic, Nak Armstrong’s CFDA Award-winning work continues to push the boundaries of design. His work has garnered praise from national press including W, InStyle, Harper’s Bazaar, and WWD. Armstrong’s background in architecture and fashion are evident in the engineering of his designs, as he developed a proprietary technique to suspend stones in metal. Hand-fabricated in Austin, TX, this labor-intensive construction process allows for highly textural and layered designs that are deceptively lightweight.

When Nora's family left Odessa behind for good, her mother hid her jewels in a transistor radio that she entrusted to Nora, all of ten year's old. A year later they settled in Melbourne, Australia, in a seedy seaside neighborhood called St. Kilda. Then St. Kilda was populated with artists, local aborigines, junkies, holocaust survivors, intellectuals and émigrés. After deferring from Uni (for the second time!) she spent almost ten years living abroad, mostly throughout Europe and Japan. During her last big adventure she studied in a yeshiva in Israel, in a town called Tsfat, known for its artist colony and as the birthplace of Kabalah. It was there - in one of the most spiritual and least materialistic places on earth - that Nora realized she wanted to be a jewelry designer. Nora’s goal is to design and create beautiful jewelry that outlives trends. Nora Kogan is based in New York City.
